Professionalism Issues - Based on Real Life Case Studies

Tuesday 08 June 2010 at 18:00
Staple Inn
Tony Hewitt, Imperial College Business School

You will be presented with hypothetical case studies designed to reflect real life, using events taken from the Paul Moore HBOS whistle blowing case, the collapse of Lehman Brothers and the Standard Life Pension Sterling Fund FSA breaches. The case studies will illustrate professionalism issues and you will be asked to exercise your judgement in deciding how to apply Actuaries’ Code principles to these case studies. Useful pre-reading will be the "Integrity"article in the April e-edition of The Actuary.”

There is no need to register in advance for this event. Refreshments will be available from 5:30pm for a 6pm start. Following the meeting there will be a free drink and buffet at a nearby pub.
