About the Meeting

With the increase in digitalization, a risk that is emerging as the biggest risk is Cyber Risk. Though Cyber Insurance has been available since the 1990s, it is relatively new. There is a plethora of scope in personal cyber insurance. Though the uptake will be low in the short term, the market is in its infancy. Although it is seen as a secondary insurance product in the future, everyone might be up for a surprise. In the small existent market, cyberattack victims have faced disputes with the insurers where the cover is not comprehensive as of now.  The talk will cover the nature of the exposure and the coverage of the risk. The major problem currently is pricing the risk. Apart from considering the historical experience, the talk will touch upon the quantification of coverages which can help as a starting point.
