About the Volunteering

SIAS as the largest actuarial society in UK and regional hub for actuaries based in London and South East England, also part of the communities within IFoA. One of the objectives is to promote and introduce actuarial profession to others as well as provide members of SIAS the opportunity to develop soft skills (such as presentations skills).

As part of this initiative we are organising school/career talks to broaden students' understanding of actuarial profession and give them another career opportunity to consider and also taking part in any mock interview sessions

This is an ongoing event throughout the year. In general, the session may be including:

1. Present our profession and explain what the normal working day look like.
2. Interactive activity to give students a taste of our professional work.
3. Answer questions they may have.
4. Mock interviews with the students to help them preparing for future.

If you are interested to take part in this or any future school talks/volunteering events, please register your interest at charity@sias.org.uk, your time and contribution are highly appreciated!

This time, the mock interview session is in

Whitefield School, Claremont Road, London NW2 1TR

on Thursday 18th April 2024 08.30am until 10.30am.
