Annual General Meeting followed by a discussion on Solvency II implementation

Tuesday 20 October 2009 at 18:00
Staple Inn
The Faculty of Actuaries Solvency & Capital Management Research Group

To gain regulatory approval of internal models, firms must meet certain tests and model standards. The FSA has already instigated an early engagement initiative with firms, and a model dry-run process will commence in 2010. This paper will look at:

• What the internal model tests and standards mean in practice;
• What the practical implementation challenges are to satisfying the tests and standards; and
• How these challenges may be overcome.

There is no need to register in advance of this meeting, and a free buffet supper will be provided at a nearby tavern after the meeting.
