Post Exam Party 2009

The place to be on Thursday 21st May was the basement of Soho’s Loop Bar. SIAS were hosting their post exams party there and what better theme could they have chosen than the retro 80’s disco! Sunglasses were a much needed requirement for the event judging by the bright colours everyone was wearing, especially the luminous leg warmers worn by some of the girls!
Guests were welcomed at the door with free drinks and party bags. You can’t have a party with out party bags- well that was the rule in the 80’s! There was plenty of food being served by the ever so friendly staff of Loop and the music made us all “wanna dance with somebody”!
Once everyone had made full use of their complimentary drinks vouchers it was time to rock their moves on the dance floor. Nicholas Mulholland, from RBS, sure did love the Ghost Busters tune! He ran onto the centre of the dance floor and showed everyone how to dance like they did in the 80’s.
Prizes were awarded for the best dressed – a selection of 80’s DVDs. A special mention definitely has to go to the Hiscox crew. They all were dressed the part and even brought along Maverick, from Top Gun (Lian Kuo).
